NanoExplorers Application
2013 Program
The Alan G. MacDiarmid NanoTech Institute at The University of Texas at Dallas welcomes applicants to participate in the 2013 George A. Jeffrey NanoExplorers Program. The NanoExplorers program is intended for high school students attending (or just graduating) 9th through 12th grade. The deadline for submitting an application packet for the 2013 program is April 12, 2013. Applicants selected for the program will be notified by email on or before April 26, 2013. Acceptance letters must be postmarked by May 13, 2013.
An orientation session will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. and the program will officially begin the following day, June 11, 2013.
There will be a symposium in which program participants present their research on August 20, 2013.
Application Packet
Include in a single envelope:
- Two letters of recommendation from current or former teachers
- Supplemental Questionnaire
- Medical Information and Release Form
signed by a parent or legal guardian of the applicant.
- Release and Indemnification Agreement
signed by the applicant if he/she is 18 years of age or older, or otherwise by a parent or legal guardian of the applicant
- Talent Release Form (.pdf)
